Correct Skincare Combinations – What to Mix & What to Avoid

Combining the wrong ingredients can do more harm than good. Here's a quick breakdown of what works well together—and what doesn’t.

Safe Combinations:

  • Vitamin C + Sunscreen
→ Brightens + protects from UV damage

  • Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid
→ Reduces redness + hydrates skin

  • Retinol + Peptides
→ Boosts collagen, repairs skin overnight

Avoid These Mixes:

  • Retinol + Vitamin C
→ May irritate sensitive skin. Use Vit C in AM, Retinol at night.

  • AHAs/BHAs + Retinol
→ Both are exfoliating; combining can cause peeling and dryness.

  • Niacinamide + Vitamin C
→ May cancel each other out (unless formulated properly).

💡 Tip: Introduce new actives slowly, one at a time, and always patch test!
